Lara is an award-winning comedian and improviser who has enjoyed performing at such prestigious venues as The Comedy Store, The Stand, The Top Secret Comedy Club, The Leicester Square Theatre and Downstairs At The Kings Head. She has written and produced successful full length shows for The Edinburgh Festival, The Brighton Festival and The Women In Comedy Festival; she is a favourite at the UK’s largest Lesbian Festival, LFest and the International Women’s Festival on Lesvos, Greece; she participated in the ‘Spreading The Love’ Tour with the UK’s longest standing all-female improvisation troupe, The Short And Girlie Show and after a National Tour with top cabaret trio Fascinating Aida she is often recognised as ‘the wee fella on the drum’ in their globally viral youtube sensation “Cheap Flights”

 

Having studied the powerful effects of humour and laughter, Lara developed a programme in Humourology: training and mentoring adults and children to build confidence and self esteem, improve personal impact and develop strong leadership skills through comedy and improvisation. As well as private workshops she has delivered courses to The Kings Fund, The Leadership Academy and The British Psychological Society and is a valuable member of the team of leading communication and personal impact trainers at Dramatic Resources.

 

Lara loves nothing more than to head to the beach in her 1976 Volkswagen camper van, is a keen outdoor swimmer and co-founder of LaughQuake - the global incentive to encourage the production of positive energy through laughter.
